I painted this image shortly after I moved to Colorado. I was so inspired by the geography there--the rivers, waterfalls, waterways--that I knew I had to incorporate it into a painting.
The focal point of the piece is the two warriors crossing the river with their horses. Notice how the white river cuts through the canvas from top to bottom, going with the curvature of the rock formation. The composition is dynamic, with the flow of the water and interaction between the warriors. What are they tracking? Enemies or game?
River Flows Without End is now available as a fine art giclee!
